The main objective of this study is to analyze the necessary protection measures for the towns of Ben Daoud and Relizane, against the recurrent flooding of Hamou, Maguen tributaries and Mina River. an approach taken to prevent flooding risks in this city it involves an in-depth analysis of flooding risks, assessment of issues and vulnerability as well as the determination of flood-prone areas; using hydraulic simulation tools such as: Ars GIS, HEC, GEO, and HEC-RAS. Subsequently, a technically and economically viable alternative is rigorously developed, consisting of a reinforced concrete canal for the Hamou and Maguen river and spillway for the Mina river. This alternative is chosen from various proposals and development scenarios to enhance the city's resilience against flood risks. This proactive strategy aims to ensure the safety and sustainability of Relizane area, thereby making a significant contribution to the sustainable management of flood risksen_US
