L'étude d'aménagement de l'Oued Segouili pour la protection de la ville de Bejaia contre les inondations (w. Bejaia)

Abstract

This work aims to size a hydraulic development system to allow the passage of the floods of Oued Segouili in the city of Béjaia, by determining the maximum heights reached by floods and ensure the safety of property and people living in Béjaia To do this, it was necessary to define all the characteristics of the study area and cite some catastrophic events that struck the city. Then, a study very detailed hydrological which summarizes the morphological and rainfall aspects of the basin slope feeding Segouili wadi was established. Subsequently, we determined the frequency flow with a return period of 100 years. HEC-RAS software was used to model water levels for different locations in the river using them to define flood-prone areas. From these maps, we were able to locate areas at risk of overflow. The simulation results obtained allowed us to choose the appropriate protection variant.
