dc.description.abstractThis thesis aims to size and study a hydraulic structure whose purpose is to protect the city of ANNABA from floods. It is a flood control gravity dam made of Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) located on the Bouhdid river. To accomplish this, a highly detailed hydrological study was conducted, summarizing the morphological and rainfall aspects of the watershed feeding the Bouhdid River, obtained using ArcGIS software to determine the 100-year return period flow. Subsequently, the laminar flow rate and dam height were determined based on the flood regulation and control study. Finally, the dam's stability study was ensured through manual static equilibrium calculations and numerical analysis based on finite element modeling using Plaxis 2D softwareen_US
