Optimisation de la largeur en crête des petits barrages et retenues collinaires

Titre: Optimisation de la largeur en crête des petits barrages et retenues collinaires
Auteur(s): Amara, Fatma
Résumé: The crest width of the small dams is estimated by the different existing formulas
which mainly depend on the height of the reservoir. In most cases, these formulas give
controversial results which lead to a disagree between the project owner, the engineers and the
designers. This study aims to develop a consensual approach by performing a calculation code
on small dams in northern part of Algeria, initially based on empirical formulas, which let to
identify several mathematical relationships. A comparative analysis based on various
significant parameters allowed defining an optimal relation to guide managers’ decisions to
choose the crest width dimension.
